Edit Your Bot

This section provides detailed information on how to edit you chatbot, once it is created.

This is a step-by-step guide to edit your bot.

Go to Bots page from the sidebar. Click on the Edit Bot button of the bot you want.

There are two sections in the edit bot page: Basic Information and Configuration.

Basic Information

Bot Name

Enter the name for your chatbot (maximum 50 characters). This will be the display name that users see when interacting with your bot.

Bot Role/Description

Choose from predefined personality types or create your own that define how your bot will interact with users:

Bot Functions

Select specific functions that your bot can perform. Available functions include:

  • appointment - Schedule and manage appointments

  • consulting - Provide consulting services

  • lead_capture - Capture and process leads

  • geolocation - Handle location-based queries

Click on any function to add it to your bot. You can search for functions using the search bar.

Bot Image

Upload a profile image for your bot (maximum 2MB). This image will represent your bot in conversations.

Bubble Message

Set the initial greeting message that users will see when they start a conversation with your bot (maximum 100 characters). For example: "Welcome to test, how can I help you?"

Bot Reply Color

Choose the color theme for your bot's message bubbles. You can select from predefined colors or enter a custom hex color code (e.g., #3B82F6).

Language

Select the primary language your chatbot will use for communication. The default option is English, with additional languages available from the dropdown menu.

Click Save button once you finish editing to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

Configuration

The configuration section allows you to customise your bot's behavior and appearance with advanced settings:

Bot Context

Enter detailed information about your bot's context and purpose. This field accepts comprehensive information such as:

  • Company information

  • Bot's specific purpose and goals

  • Background knowledge the bot should have

  • Instructions for how the bot should behave

This context helps the bot understand its role and provide more relevant responses to users.

Widget Text/Questions (0/3)

Add up to 3 pre-defined questions or prompts that will be displayed to users as quick-start options. These questions help guide users on how to interact with your bot effectively.

To add a question:

  1. Enter your question in the text field (character limit applies)

  2. Click the + button to add it to your list

  3. Repeat for up to 3 questions total

Answer Length

Control how detailed your bot's responses will be by selecting from the dropdown menu:

  • Medium (1000 chars) - Provides balanced responses with moderate detail

  • Additional length options may be available depending on your configuration

Preview Sections

Bot Preview

Shows how your bot will appear in a traditional chat interface:

  • Displays the bot's profile image (circular avatar)

  • Shows the bubble message you configured

  • Demonstrates the selected reply color theme

  • Provides a realistic preview of the user-bot conversation experience

Widget Preview

Shows how your bot will appear when embedded as a widget on websites:

  • Displays the widget's floating chat button (bottom-right corner)

  • Shows the initial greeting message in the widget format

  • Demonstrates the widget's responsive design and positioning

Both preview sections update in real-time as you make changes to your bot's configuration, allowing you to see exactly how your bot will look and behave before publishing.

Click Save button once you finish editing to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

You can also add more integrations later after you created the bot by simply going to the Integrations tab and connecting your choice of service.
