Whatsapp Business Integration Guide

Step 1: Ensure you meet the prerequisites. You'll need a Meta developer account, a verified business account, and a business portfolio on business.facebook.com.

Step 2: Navigate to your Meta developer account and create a new app. Assign it any name you prefer.

Step 3: Specify the use case as 'other' and the type as 'business'.

Step 4: If you don't have a business portfolio, create one and verify it with Meta.

Step 5: Select the business portfolio you've created or already have.

Step 6: Create an app within your business portfolio.

Step 7: Add WhatsApp to your app. Meta will provide a test account number for you to test your WhatsApp integration.

Step 8: Add a recipient number for testing purposes.

Step 9: Navigate to your business portfolio. Here, you'll see all the WhatsApp numbers associated with your business.

Step 10: Add a new number or connect an existing WhatsApp business account to your business WhatsApp.

Step 11: After submitting your phone number, you'll be asked for a verification code.

Step 12: Create a system token access.

Step 13: Assign the assets to the system user. These assets include the app and the WhatsApp account you want to use.

Step 14: Generate a token for this user.

Step 15: Ensure the token doesn't expire by selecting 'never'.

Step 16: Under permissions, select 'WhatsApp Business messaging' and 'WhatsApp Business management'.

Step 17: Copy the generated token and go to our system.

Step 18: Paste your access token and the phone number ID from your Meta Developers account.

Step 19: Configure your callback URL.

Step 20: Paste the callback URL in the webhook configuration section of your Meta Business account.

Step 21: Paste your verify token.

Step 22: Test the bot connection.

Step 23: If the connection is verified, you'll be taken to the next setup page. If not, you'll receive an error message.

Step 24: Subscribe for messages.

Step 25: Add a recipient number for testing purposes.

Step 26: Text the test number provided by Meta.

Step 27: Monitor the response in your dashboard.

Step 28: The system will create different chat histories for different users.
